Frequently asked questions.

Direct answers on cohort governance, Barcelona meeting cadences, retreat inclusions and confidentiality.

What is The Round Barcelona 01 (BCN1), and how is it structured?

The Round BCN1 is a confidential, year-round executive peer advisory board facilitated by Dr. Sven Mulfinger and operated by Kuma Partners. The cohort meets in person once every month in the Barcelona area for a dedicated half-day working session. The annual cadence comprises 10 monthly Board sessions, one 24-Hour Immersion overnight retreat and one 3- to 4-day Executive Offsite & Sanctuary in nature, alongside monthly 55-minute 1:1 strategic sparring sessions.

Who is eligible to join The Round BCN1?

Membership is curated strictly for active Founders, Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) and Managing Directors who carry ultimate P&L and strategic responsibility for scaling or established enterprises. Every cohort is strictly capped at 8 to 12 members to ensure psychological safety, intimacy and high-density deliberations.

How does The Round prevent conflicts of interest and protect competitor confidentiality?

Direct competitors are never admitted to the same cohort. Before any candidate is admitted, existing members review their company profile and sector to raise potential conflicts. We operate under strict Chatham House confidentiality: what is shared in the room never leaves the room, extending to members' boards, co-founders and personal lives.

How does The Round differ from traditional CEO peer networks?

Traditional networks rely on open-enrolment chapters, volunteer chairs and rigid round-robin presentations. The Round is an operator-led intervention engine backed by the Kuma Operating System (KOS), deploying adaptive protocols, from silent deliberation to root-cause telemetry, with commitments tracked in a binding digital ledger.

What does the monthly half-day Executive Peer Board entail, and where does it take place?

Sessions are held once a month in the Barcelona area. Members take turns hosting the cohort at their respective corporate headquarters or private offices. Hosting at each other's offices provides tangible operational context that sharpens peer feedback. The host provides a private, secure meeting room with breakfast and lunch.
